The IT-SDC RDD is a document intended to show that the IT-SDC Report
will be driven by recommendations given in the Ryerson Report of the Vision
Task Group May, 1997.
The Vision Task Group Report is presently included as Appendix A.
The Functions that must be provided by an IT System are presently categorized
and the relevant Vision Task Group recommendations will be linked to each
Function.
The next stages in the development of this document are to perform further
functional analysis and list IT and Media requirements that are driven
by the functions. Final steps will be to illustrate the IT Systems Concept,
and allocate the requirements to each component of the IT System.
In this manner a "Systems Design" approach is followed to
demonstrate traceability of the (TBD - To Be Developed) Ryerson IT-System
to the Vision Task Group recommendations (i.e. Ryerson Mission Functions).
